For all of you dog fans and small business owners that have been following our Dogtopia project in Port Chester, NY, we have a quick update on our progress!
Today was HVAC rooftop installation, which is a crucial part of all commercial projects. While residential HVAC units are, more often than not, installed beside their respective building, commercial HVAC units are typically installed (you guessed it!) on the roof! This is due in part to the nature of a commercial property’s more demanding heating and cooling needs. A commercial HVAC unit usually has more components than its standard residential counterpart, and is therefore larger. Commercial HVAC units are typically modular as well, and thus can be added to should additional condensing power, for instance, be necessary for a business. With all of this in mind, it only makes sense to install this hardware in an area like the roof, where additional square footage is available.
Here at M&M Constructions, our experience and knowledge concerning projects of all shapes and sizes is rivaled by few. Our team can not only see the “big picture” in every project, but also highly specific technical details like HVAC needs. You can rest assured that no new construction of ours will spend this summer without A/C!
